#1 Invest time in your network

If you want to get the most out of LinkedIn, you need to be willing to put in the time and effort. It’s a great platform for building a business network, and it can also be used to acquire new customers. However, people don’t usually become customers overnight. They need to get to know you better first. So, you have to maintain your network and nurture relationships over time. “It’s not about how many people you can add to your network, it’s about the quality of those connections, Spend time on your profile, ensure it’s complete and that you have a professional photo”.

#2 Show your value in your summary

As an entrepreneur, it’s essential to have a strong and appealing LinkedIn profile that positions you in the right way. Your potential customers will read your summary, so it’s important to make sure it accurately reflects your understanding of their problem and how you can help solve it. Your summary should also highlight your relevant experience and results to show that you’re an expert in your field who can be trusted to deliver concrete results. Finally, end your summary with a call to action to motivate your reader to take the next step.

#3 Add media to your profile

The only place where you can personalize your Linkedin profile is your summary. You have 2,000 characters there to say something about yourself. Note: only the first 230 characters are initially visible to desktop users and on mobile, this is even limited to 85 characters. The rest is a matter of filling in your Linkedin profile correctly. That’s why it’s a good idea to add additional media to your profile as well. For example, you can add a video or a Slideshare presentation in which you show a little more of yourself. By following these tips, you can be sure that you’re using Linkedin marketing smartly and effectively to reach your target audience of entrepreneurs.

#4 Share valuable content that shows your expertise

When sharing content on LinkedIn, focus on topics you want to be known for. What is your expertise? You can share your own content or content from others. Share articles that are valuable to your ideal customers and especially give your insights or opinion to show that you are an expert in your field. Sharing content has several advantages. You can connect directly with your ideal customers with your messages and comments. When people see you as an expert, they are more likely to do business with you and become a customer. Sharing content regularly ensures that you are visible in the LinkedIn feed. You can attract more followers to your LinkedIn profile. Your follower count is a key metric for getting found in LinkedIn Search. If you have more followers, your chances of being found increase.

#5 Reply to messages from others

If your profile is in order and you have made several posts (that position you as a helpful expert in your field), you can recruit potential customers through Linkedin by actively approaching them. Just send an invite. Of course with a personal invitation because this person may not know you yet. Make these posts as personal as possible (with your knowledge about this person). And don’t immediately offer your services. But build relationships first. You may already have a business relationship but not on Linkedin. The search function on LinkedIn is a powerful tool that can help you find the right connections for your business. You can search for specific people or for people with certain skills and functions. You can also search for companies. This will show you which of your connections work for that company and who works freelance for that company. #9 Keep an eye on your notifications

Everyone likes to be recognized or just congratulated. You can use Linkedin to view notifications of special occasions. Then you have a nice hook to send a connection a personal message.

You will see these special occasions in your newsfeed. You also get notifications from Linkedin when it’s someone’s birthday or someone has a new position, for example. So check your Linkedin notifications regularly because these are great moments to congratulate someone with a personal message.
